American Automobile Company Promotes Sodomy



Today I received a message from the American Family Association that troubles me. The email alert had this title: Chevrolet mocks God’s plan for marriage and family.  The announcement does show how widespread sexual perversion has become even in a well-known American business enterprise. I refer to Chevrolet. Our family drove Chevrolets for many years and it is disheartening to realize that the company has become so pro-sodomy.  Here is the announcement that the AFA sent:

If you’ve watched any of the Olympics, you’ve probably already noticed that NBC is using the games as a pro-gay platform. The network hasn’t missed any opportunity to promote the homosexual lifestyle to millions of American viewers.

Chevrolet is helping drive the crusade to normalize two men having sex with each other as a “family.” They threw in a couple of children to help legitimize the impression.

On the opening night of the Olympics on NBC, Chevrolet launched two commercials showcasing homosexual men. As one national branding firm manager put it, “It’s a very clear statement of what they believe Chevy stands for.” Indeed.

One ad showed quick shots of many different families, including a male couple with a son and a daughter.

Another ad featured different images of America, including a shot of a gay couple getting married. “Like the old love, the new love starts with a kiss,” a voiceover states.

I did engage in an online “chat” with one of the Chevrolet representatives.  Alice (not her real name) was a very pleasant person but was adamant in her loyalty to this automobile company and her defense of sexual perversion.  I thought you might be interested in our exchange:

Sodomy and sodomite relationships are a conflict with the way God has created us–as male and female. When Chevrolet allows homosexuals to influence their advertising, they give the impression that sodomy is fine and acceptable. So shameful. And I’m so sad that “my” auto company would do such a thing. Richard

Chevrolet is simply celebrating the diversity of its customers by focusing on genuine moments and real families. These ads have everything to do with Chevrolet as an inclusive and authentic brand and are not intended as any political commentary. You’re comments and concerns are important to us however, and I assure you that Chevrolet and GM are keeping a record of all of the chats concerning this to better understand our customers wants, and to determine what future path may be taken.

Why choose one grossly immoral behavior and orientation (sodomy) and say this is okay whereas other immoral behaviors are not? This is not right. Richard

Chevrolet and GM support the LGBT community in a number of ways including through a strong anti-discrimination policy and offering domestic partner benefits for same-sex couples equivalent to married couples to the fullest extent allowed by the law. In addition, Chevrolet was recognized for an ad for the Chevrolet Volt by GLADD in 2012 it’s and recently sponsored the national conference of STEM for our college students in science, technology, engineering and math programs.”  

18:57:35Customer: Alice, I appeal to you as a person. Regardless of what Chevrolet determines to do, you know–deep down–that it is immoral to either be involved in unnatural and perverse sex, and it is wrong to promote this in some advertising. I appeal to you to think for yourself and recognize what is wrong with immoral sexuality–even when some 2% of Americans practice this perversion.

18:59:56 Alice:As a person, I would still have to disagree with you as I don’t discriminate for any reason, however your comments and concerns have been noted and I will make sure they are passed along to my supervisors.

19:01:54Customer: Alice, it may be true that sodomites like Chevrolet cars. They may promote Chevrolets. They may endorse your cars. They may drive your cars. But this doesn’t make it right. It is just not the way God has created us. You discriminate against pedophilias, rapists, and those who practice bestiality. You should also cease promoting homosexuality through your advertising. As I said, regardless of what your employer does, you–as a person–need to think for yourself and disagree with your employer about this. It is the right thing to do. Richard

19:04:06Customer: Alice, please let your employer (Chevrolet) know that many of their followers strongly disagree with their policy of promoting sexual perversion. It is not right that profits are used to promote a sinful, wrongful, and perverse orientation and lifestyle.

19:04:22 Alice:I am proud to be an employee of Chevrolet. As we are at an impasse, I can only ask if you have any other comments or questions for me today? If not, will be ending this chat session and passing along your comments.

19:05:54Customer: Thank you, Alice, for the dialog. Please do pass along these comments and my strong disapproval of your promotion of sexual perversion and using advertising dollars to do this promotion. Thank you and may God bless you. Richard

Later I sent an email message to Chevrolet through their website:

I was very disappointed with the experience. While Alice was pleasant, I strongly disagree with Chevrolet’s promotion of sodomy through their advertising. A good company like yours should not endorse this perverse sexual orientation and relationship. So sad. This is shameful. Thank you for reading.

I don’t know what will become of “Alice” nor do I know what will become of my registered complaint against the company’s advertisement policy. Hopefully, it will be noted and perhaps make some influence. However, it would seem that the company is presently very pro-sodomite in orientation and will not be dissuaded. Apart from a respect for God and His holy Word, we would suppose that the company will continue their immoral support of sexual immorality. Further, this company and many others will continue to undermine moral values in the United States (and the world) and drag down the present generation.

It is time for followers of Jesus to be holy and devoted in their life, always looking for opportunities to stand for righteousness in an immoral age. As Noah “condemned the world” as he lived a holy life on earth, and as he was a “preacher of righteousness” to those around him (Hebrews 11:7; 2 Peter 2:5), let us proclaim the right ways of God and condemn the world in its unrighteousness. Only the saving work of God through Jesus Christ our Lord will solve the degeneration in which we live.
