Kamala, Please Change!

Again and again in Scripture, we see God (through His messengers) calling on certain people to repent. We use this opportunity to call on Kamala Harris (the vice-president) to repent. As many of you know, this popular woman has turned from the ways of God openly and in public, thus we call on her to have a change of mind and heart and to make this known in public.

We know that there are some of you reading these words who endorse Kamala’s words and escapades. In fact, you are quite overjoyed with Kamala’s position and activities, just as many people some years ago applauded the election, behavior, and relationships of Barack Obama, our former president. Even though he must have been the worst chief officer in the land in the whole history of this nation, still you found his election to be a blessing.  Of course, a main reason for this unreasonable approval is that you do not know God or the ways of God. And now, once again, we find a wicked person occupying the White House. This, of course, could be said of Joe Biden but we are referring here to his running-mate, Kamala Harris.

Why do we say what we say regarding this woman? There are many reasons. First, Kamala is responsible for killing millions of babies. If she were responsible for murdering only one child, this would be bad enough and would be a capital offense, demanding the death penalty. God said, “Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man” (Genesis 9:6).

However, through the evil of abortion which Kamala promotes (even desiring the killing of babies up to the time of their birth), this vice-president has been responsible for murdering uncounted numbers of babies—both in her home state of California as well as her position as senator in Washington, D.C.—and now, as the vice-president. Whether we are speaking of the murderer being the mother, a clinic (such as Planned Parenthood), a doctor or nurse, we are speaking of countless  killings.

Second, Kamala is a renowned example of the despicable evil of feminism. She is not content to stay at home with children, with a lawful husband, with the duties around the house, and doing what a responsible and godly woman should be and do. Instead, she insists on a public role that places her in a position that is anything but a submissive wife and mother—and woman!

God’s Word is quite plain that a woman is not to be in a position of authority over a man. Scripture says that a righteous woman is to be under authority and not exercise authority (cf. 1 Timothy 2:11-15). “The man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:3). Does God say that the woman is the “head” over the man (her husband or another), or does it say that “the man is the head of a woman”? You can see what God is actually saying.

Again and again in Scripture we learn that a woman is not to be the “head” or authority over a man—such as her husband (if she is lawfully married). Notice especially (1 Corinthians 11:3, 4-15; Ephesians 5:22-23; Colossians 3:18-19; 1 Timothy 2:11-15, 3:1-2; Titus 2:4-5; 1 Peter 3:1-6; etc.). As we can easily see, Kamala has taken the feminist perspective and refused to submit herself to the man. By the way, we might well ask, “How can Kamala take a submissive role, under her husband, when she is supposed to be the “head” over a nation of 350 million people—half of whom are males? It makes no sense from a Biblical perspective.

Third, we know that in “speech, conduct, love, faith and purity” a woman is to show herself to be “an example of those who believe” or “to” those who believe (1 Timothy 4:12). Kamala is to be “an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech” (Titus 2:7-8a). In other words, this woman is to be an example to others, especially other women. They should be able to look at her and say, “This is a worthy woman whom I am to follow.”

Instead, Kamala is the very opposite of what a woman should be. A woman is to be submissive and obedient. Kamala refuses to be submissive and obedient. Further, Kamala had her education in very liberal schools all of her life. Her mother (from India) and her father (from Jamaica) were very liberal and had liberal educational positions. Her mother surely was a liberal feminist and her father (even after he divorced her mother) was also a liberal. We read this:

Harris was born in Oakland, California,[9] on October 20, 1964. Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, a biologist whose work on the progesterone receptor gene stimulated advances in breast cancer research, had arrived in the United States from India in 1958 as a 19-year-old graduate student in nutrition and endocrinology at the University of California, Berkeley; Gopalan received her PhD in 1964. Harris’ father, Donald J. Harris, is a Stanford University professor emeritus of economics, who arrived in the United States from British Jamaica in 1961 for graduate study at UC Berkeley, receiving a PhD in economics in 1966. Along with her younger sister, Maya, Harris lived in Berkeley, California, briefly on Milvia Street in central Berkeley, then a duplex on Bancroft Way in West Berkeley, an area often called the “flatlands” with a significant black population.

When Harris began kindergarten, she was bused as part of Berkeley’s comprehensive desegregation program to Thousand Oaks Elementary School, a public school in a more prosperous neighborhood in northern Berkeley which previously had been 95 percent white, and after the desegregation plan went into effect became 40 percent Black. A neighbor regularly took the Harris girls to an African American church in Oakland where they sang in the children’s choir, and the girls and their mother also frequently visited a nearby African American cultural center. Their mother introduced them to Hinduism and took them to a nearby Hindu temple, where she occasionally sang. As children, she and her sister visited their mother’s family in Madras (now Chennai) several times. She says she has been strongly influenced by her maternal grandfather P. V. Gopalan, a retired Indian civil servant whose progressive views on democracy and women’s rights impressed her. Harris has remained in touch with her Indian aunts and uncles throughout her adult life. Harris has also visited her father’s family in Jamaica.

We know that a little child is not responsible for the wicked ways of her parents, but this does show us something of Kamala’s upbringing and exposure to rank liberalism. This is not something that was easy to discard but it became her own perspective.

Fourth, Kamala has shown herself to be evil in nearly every aspect of her life. We read this:

[Kamala} is an American politician and attorney serving as the 49th and current vice president of the United States. She is the United States’ first female vice president, the highest-ranking female official in U.S. history, and the first African American and first Asian American vice president.

A member of the Democratic Party, she served as a United States senator from California from 2017 to 2021, and as the attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017. Harris became vice president upon inauguration in January 2021 alongside President Joe Biden, having defeated the incumbent president, Donald Trump, and vice president, Mike Pence, in the 2020 election. Is this the sort of woman who would be a good and responsible person to lead the country of America?  We know that some of our liberal and ungodly readers would say that she is, but those who know their Bibles can easily see that Kamala is the very opposite of what a woman should be from the perspective of God our Creator! In almost every way, she has violated the Word of God.

Fifth, from what we have read from Kamala’s background, she married a man who was married before. I didn’t pursue this issue in my studies, but I think that we would all agree that most remarriages constitute adultery. In other words, according to God’s Word, all indications are that when this man married Kamala and when Kamala married this man, it was adultery in God’s sight.

We know that in the mind of many people, any second marriage is fine. There is no adultery involved. This is so even regarding those who claim to be followers of Christ. But, if we take Scripture seriously, we know that such a marriage is not at all according to the will of God. In the words of the Lord Jesus: “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her; and if she herself divorces her husband and marries another man, she is committing adultery” (Mark 10:11-12). Notice also Matthew 5:31-32; 19:3-12; Mark 10:2-12; Luke 16:18; Romans 7:1-3.

I know that this is very difficult to understand for many people. Let me go over it again. If a person (such as Kamala’s present husband) divorces his wife and marries another (such as Kamala), that person commits adultery and Kamala commits adultery also. We are not saying that she cannot be saved—but it would need to come after a complete repentance and forsaking of the sin. Further, if a person is an adulterer or adulteress, it is impossible for that person to inherit the kingdom of God (see 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Hebrews 13:4; cf. Galatians 5:19-21; Revelation 21:9). Thus, it seems clear that our vice-president is committing adultery and cannot enter heaven—unless she repents and seeks God’s forgiveness.

We know that a lot more could be mentioned at this point. However, from what we have seen, the vice-president (Joe Biden’s running mate)—Kamala Harris—needs to repent for many reasons.  Going over some of these again would be: Kamala has been responsible for murdering multiple babies, thus she needs to repent of this wicked activity.  If she were to do this, we wonder whether it could have a positive effect on many Americans!

We also know that Kamala needs to repent of her rank feminism. In many respects (perhaps from her pre-teens until the present), Kamala has been a chief example of the feminism that God finds so distasteful, so wicked, and so out of character of a godly and pure woman. In other words, she is the very opposite of what a woman is to be—and again, she needs to repent of this perspective and activity.

Further, Kamala needs to repent of the utterly poor example she has left of what a godly woman is to be. How could she provide a good example for women (and men) so that they might be led in a good and positive direction? We don’t just refer to her choice of a political party but her entire life.

We also know that this vice-president needs to repent of the adultery that she quite clearly is guilty of. She not only needs to repent of the adultery, but should proclaim loudly for the benefit of millions of others in America who, likewise, are guilty of adultery. She needs to proclaim to people in Europe, and around the world, that she is repenting of this sexual immorality and is clearly and openly renouncing this relationship. It would do so much good to the millions (tens of millions?) of others who are walking in similar sexual immorality.

Finally, we know that this woman (Kamala Harris) needs God and His forgiveness now as never before. She needs to turn from her sin even if this means that Joe Biden needs to find another running mate. (Of course, Biden would need to drastically repent and change his ways too.) She needs to come to Christ Jesus for His cleansing and acceptance. Further, nearly every aspect of her life needs to be changed. We are not saying that her repentance and change would mean she could come to God as a forgiven person. But we are saying that if she chooses to repent and change, this would mean that she needs to make dramatic changes in her life. If she were to do this, surely God would welcome Kamala and she could look forward to an eternity with Him! May this happen!

May Kamala do this, even though most would call such a change revolutionary. Yes, it may be this in the sight of humanity, but from God’s perspective, this is what He would expect.
