Twisting Christianity

The following Letter has 200 words but it is not as complete as the letter that follows it.

I find serious flaws in the article “Faiths Require Trust, Understanding,” written by several religionists in Tarrant County.

The article says “our Muslim neighbors reject the perversion of their faith by political extremists.” Thankfully, there are some who reject violence, but such is not a “perversion of their faith.” The Quran strongly counsels violence against “unbelievers” (Christians and Jews). Thus, it is part of their “faith” to harm those who do not convert to Islam.

These religion writers think that Islam means “peace.” But history from the time of Muhammad shows this peace is meant for Muslims, not for those they seek to conquer. Theirs is a religion of Jihad, holy war of bloodshed against the “infidels” (Christians and Jews).

Especially serious is the reference to seeing the “face of God” in various religions. No, only Christ leads to heaven. He is “the way, and the truth, and the life.” Only those who go to God through Him will enter (John 14:6).

Finally, they say “all people” are “children of God.” No, only those spiritually born of God are His children (John 3:3-7)0. None other qualifies.

Thus, I take exception to these liberal religionists who pervert the way of Christ.

Twisting Christianity

I find serious flaws in the article “Faiths Require Trust, Understanding,” written by several religionists.  The issue: Should a Muslim Imam lead a public prayer?

The article says “our Muslim neighbors reject the perversion of their faith by political extremists.” Thankfully, there are many American Muslims who reject violence, but such is not a “perversion of their faith.” The Quran strongly counsels violence against “unbelievers” (interpreted as Christians and Jews). Thus, it is part of their “faith” to harm those who do not convert to Islam.

These writers think that Islam means “peace.” Yes, but Muslim history from the time of Muhammad shows this peace is meant for Muslims, not for those they seek to conquer. Theirs is a religion of Jihad, holy war against the “infidels” (Christians and Jews). The blood of millions have been spilled in their offensive wars.

Especially serious is the reference to seeing the “face of God” in various religions. No, only Christ leads to heaven, for He is “the way, and the truth, and the life.” Only those who go to God through Him will enter (John 14:6).

Finally, they say that “all people” are “children of God.” No, only those who are spiritually born of God are His children (John 3:3-7)0. No one else qualifies.

Thus, I take exception to these liberal religionists who pervert the way of Christ.
