We know that the world, and especially the United States, is involved in a gender upset of monumental proportions. We all know that this is true. When I say “all” I mean most people and not 100% of people.

We must acknowledge that in America, where I am from, males (men) have become very unmale-like (if that is a word). They are to be pure, kind, loving, and to take the lead! As we know, most American men fail in all of this and are not what God would want. We find woman-like men, men who fail to provide for their families, men more interested in eating and sleeping and sports, than godly men interested in God’s will and His ways! They may hold down a (compromising job), they may do house work, but they really don’t live so as to lead and take godly control in the home (regarding their wives and children). So sad. But we doubt that this can be changed now.

Yet we hope that a few men, whether age 15 or 20 or 30 or more, will take their responsibility seriously and lead in a godly and righteous way! Even if this would be a million, or a hundred thousand, a thousand, or fewer men “out there,” there must be some men who profess to be Christian, who are godly and loving, and who lead their homes righteously!

Now for the main point of this article. We also know that women are to blame (at least to some extent), especially those of a Western background and America in particular. We don’t want to leave out Europe and many other countries but we do focus on the United States at this time.

America is composed of some 330 million people. Yes, millions of them are in America illegally (and we don’t think that this can be easily worked out), and it would take perhaps 30 or more million to truly repent and go back to their countries, the places where they came from. But of these people some would be male and some females. This is what we find: “As of July 1, 2021, there were 164.38 million males and 167.51 million females living in the United States.” (https://www.statista.com/statistics/241495/us-population-by-sex).

We suppose that this number could now be perhaps 170 million males and 175 million females. So we are dealing with many millions in this article—at least 170 to 175 million women. (Even if we were to remove 10 or 20 million illegal immigrants, this would still be a large number, perhaps 160 million women!) Of course, we realize that a few of these would be children, but still, the number of women in America would be many millions of people!

We know that this is a guess, but it is an “educated guess,” that 95% or more of them really repudiate the idea of Biblical positions. In other words, they probably don’t know that a woman, under God and His authority, is to be in submission to man (Ephesians 5:22-33), is to be silent in the assembly and in public (1 Corinthians 14:33-37), is not to work away from the home (1 Timothy 5:14; Titus 2:4-5), is to bear children (Genesis 1:26-27), and is to be active in domestic duties and a blessing to others (1 Timothy 5:14). And, of course, we admit that most women, even “religious” woman, care little about God’s will in this matter.

These instructions, plain as they may be, are probably neglected or avoided or even disobeyed by the vast majority of women today, of the 170 million women! In fact (and we speak without fear of contradiction) we doubt that most women (and men) would give any consideration or interest at all with what God has to say about the role of the genders in life, in the world, in society, or in the assembly (often called the “church”). We find that this is sad, very sad, and even a cause of dismay!

Sisters in the family of God, we appeal to you to following God’s Word in this matter. We realize that you may be married to a man who fails to profess Christ. We know that some of you have probably been married twice or are married to a man married twice, thus you are living in adultery and under God’s judgment. And millions of you are irreligious or in a false church or denominations. Others of you may give no thought at all about God’s will and His Word. But a few of you (a precious few!) may be interested in following God’s will and now wonder what to do.

As we titled this article, there is a “gender upset” in America (and around the world). Some nations in Europe, in Russia, in China, and elsewhere expect women to labor like everyone else—and be like “walking” and “talking” men! Let’s remember that these dear women are of “a gentle” and “quiet spirit” (at least they should be) and are the “weaker vessel” (1 Peter 3:1-7).

Even if 95% or 98% of women are disobeying God’s commands regarding sexual distinctions and gender positions, this doesn’t mean that you must be this way. It may be that the world wants you to dress in an unwomanly manner, wants you to act like a man, wants you to participate publicly as a man, and wants you to have leadership in the family, leadership in society, and speak as a man, this doesn’t mean that you must be this way! No, you are a man and will remain this way all of your days and into eternity (Genesis 1:26; etc.).

No, you are a woman of God (we presume that you are and want to be) and are not to be as the women of the world. You are different and must behave, dress, speak, and act differently from the world around you! May God help you to see this and act and live accordingly! May God help men to also see this truth and act in a loving and authoritative and godly way! This is what God wants and it must be what we want as well!
