The Fort Hood Murders
by the Muslim Nidal Malik Hasan

For years now, radical Muslims have terrorized the civilized world by their deceptive tactics and violent behavior. Again and again, the daily news reports on the latest merciless bombings, misguided suicide killings, and vitriolic rhetoric of the Muslim leaders.

The latest incident of Islamic mass murder occurred this past week at the sprawling Fort Hood military establishment in central Texas. Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim doctor of psychiatry, was stationed at Fort Hood and was informed of his upcoming deployment to the Middle East (apparently either to Afghanistan or Iraq). It is reported that Hasan is a devout Muslim, one who prays regularly and attends the mosque. In fact, apparently this Muslim had been part of the same mosque that two of the September 11 World Trade Center suicide men had attended. He also had been in contact with a radical cleric in Yemen. Reports state that on different occasions during his education, Hasan expressed opposition to the United States and their war against Muslim extremism over the past number of years. No one reported his verbal assaults to the proper authorities.

Yahoo News stated:

“The system is not doing what it’s supposed to do,” said Dr. Val Finnell, who studied with Hasan from 2007-2008 in the master’s program in public health at the military’s Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. “He at least should have been confronted about these beliefs, told to cease and desist, and to shape up or ship out.”

Apparently Hasan expressed his Muslim beliefs to others and this should have warned them of his radical and violent beliefs. He had also expressed approval of Muslim suicide bombers. Yahoo News reports:

Finnell said he did just that during a year of study in which Hasan made a presentation “that justified suicide bombing” and spewed “anti-American propaganda” as he argued the war on terror was “a war against Islam.” Finnell said he and at least one other student complained about Hasan, surprised that someone with “this type of vile ideology” would be allowed to wear an officer’s uniform. But Finnell said no one filed a formal, written complaint about Hasan’s comments out of fear of appearing discriminatory. “In retrospect, I’m not surprised he did it,” Finnell said. “I had real questions about what his priorities were, what his beliefs were.”

Finally, this past week, the reports state that Hasan jumped on a desk in a soldier processing center at the base, and shouted, “Allah is great!” He then fired over 100 rounds that resulted in 13 deaths and 29 soldiers wounded. What would make a man do this?

It isn’t difficult to see a connection here. Hasen believed that Allah was the true God and Muhammad was His prophet. He believed that Allah had the priority over America and that his ultimate allegiance was to Allah. At this point, we don’t fully know all of his motives, but Hesen must have wanted to show this loyalty by killing others who he thought would go out and kill his fellow-Muslims either in Iraq or Afghanistan.

We need to realize that there are one and a half billion people in this world who are Islamic in belief. Most of these do not bomb and maim and murder. They are interested in keeping a job, raising a family, and living a life. But a certain number of Muslims are radical in nature. They follow the Koran and choose to follow Muhammad’s teachings more than maintain an uninvolved life. They are aware that this prophet conquered with the use of the sword and his followers did the same after Muhammad’s death. To believe in the Koran is to believe in spreading this false belief through conquering. What Hasen did makes sense with this background.

While most Muslims are law-abiding citizens and are not interested in carrying out the violent dictates of their religion, there are a certain percentage who are willing to kill, murder, and deceive to accomplish their ends—that of world-wide Islam. If only five percent of Muslims are violent and willing to kill, this would be 75 million persons (5% of 1.5 billion)! If only a mere one percent are rabid enough to take life, this would still be 15 million! What is it like to realize that an army of 15 million devoted, determined, and deceived men (and women) are willing to stop at nothing to bomb, kill, and take their own life for the sake of their devotion to Allah!

The earthly fate of Hasen is not known. At this time, this murderer is still alive in the hospital. The time may come when he is tried in a military court and may face a long imprisonment or even death. With the usual lax punishment inflicted in the United States, perhaps he won’t even be executed for his crimes, something that flatly violates both God’s command at Genesis 9:6 (“Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man.”) and Paul’s statement about God’s purpose in civil government at Romans 13:4 (“It does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.”).

Whatever his earthly future and punishment (if he does survive), Hasen will stand before an awesome God (not the god/God of Islam), the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, who “will render to each person according to his deeds” (Romans 2:6).
