The Extensive Prevalence of Adultery in Politics

Richard Hollerman

Perhaps we are not as aware of the extensive adultery that is found quite plainly in the United States presidency! We may assume that people who occupy the Washington White House would be the epitome of good moral character. Sadly, this is not the case at all. Notice the following examples, with evidence from reputable sources.

Kamala Harris

Kamala is also an adulteress, having married Doug Emhoff who had been married before he met Kamala. We know nothing more about her personal life, particularly before this adulteress marriage (remarriage for him). This is what we read about her past:

Harris met husband, attorney Doug Emhoff, through a mutual friend who set up Harris and Emhoff on a blind date in 2013.[314] Emhoff was an entertainment lawyer who became partner-in-charge at Venable LLP‘s Los Angeles office.[314][315] Harris and Emhoff were married on August 22, 2014, in Santa Barbara, California.[316] Harris is a stepmother to Emhoff’s two children from his previous marriage to the film producer Kerstin Emhoff.[317] As of August 2019, Harris and her husband had an estimated net worth of $5.8 million.[318] In 2001, she briefly dated Montel Williams, the former host of The Montel Williams Show.[319]

If you are wondering about this “husband” of Harris, we read this:

Emhoff was married for 16 years to Kerstin Emhoff, née Mackin.[24] They have two children, Cole and Ella.[25][8] He married Kamala Harris on August 22, 2014, in Santa Barbara, California, with Kamala’s sister Maya Harris officiating.[26] As of August 2019, Emhoff and Harris had an estimated net worth of $5.8 million.[27] The couple resides in homes in Los AngelesSan Francisco and Washington, D.C. as of 2020.[28]

John F. Kennedy

This president was the first Catholic in the White House. Thus, numerous people objected to his being chosen to lead the nation. We read nothing of an official divorce and remarriage, but Kennedy was known for his wild and immoral escapades.  He was never divorced for this but, as you must know, he was assassinated in office (the same day that C. S. Lewis died of natural causes). This is what we read about his adulterous “affairs”:

Kennedy was single in the 1940s when he had affairs with Danish journalist Inga Arvad[385] and actress Gene Tierney.[386] Before and after he assumed the presidency, Kennedy reportedly had affairs with a number of women, including Marilyn Monroe,[387] Gunilla von Post,[388] Judith Campbell,[389] Mary Pinchot Meyer,[390] Marlene Dietrich,[391] Mimi Alford,[392] and his wife’s press secretaryPamela Turnure.[393]

The extent of Kennedy’s relationship with Monroe is not fully known, although it has been reported that they spent a weekend together in March 1962 while he was staying at Bing Crosby‘s house.[394] Furthermore, people at the White House switchboard noted that Monroe had called Kennedy during 1962.[395] J. Edgar Hoover, the FBI director, received reports about Kennedy’s indiscretions.[396]

Kennedy inspired affection and loyalty from the members of his team and his supporters.[397] According to Reeves, this included “the logistics of Kennedy’s liaisons … [which] required secrecy and devotion rare in the annals of the energetic service demanded by successful politicians.”[398] Kennedy believed that his friendly relationship with members of the press would help protect him from public revelations about his sex life.[399]

Lem Billings was a close and long-time friend of Kennedy and the Kennedy family. Billings had his own room in which to stay at several of John F. Kennedy’s residences. Though there has never been any proof of homosexual activity between them, Kennedy would often, and even when married, share a bedroom with his lifelong friend.[400]

Ronald Reagan

This man was one of the most beloved of American presidents. He had been a movie star before his marriage. We read this about him and his first marriage:

In 1938, Reagan co-starred in the film Brother Rat with actress Jane Wyman (1917–2007). They announced their engagement at the Chicago Theatre[62] and married on January 26, 1940, at the Wee Kirk o’ the Heather church in Glendale, California.[63] Together they had two biological children, Maureen (1941–2001) and Christine (born in 1947 but lived only one day), and adopted a third, Michael (b. 1945).[64] After the couple had arguments about Reagan’s political ambitions, Wyman filed for divorce in 1948,[65] citing a distraction due to her husband’s Screen Actors Guild union duties; the divorce was finalized in 1949.[34] Wyman, who was a registered Republican, also stated that their break-up was due to a difference in politics (Reagan was still a Democrat at the time).[66]

He then met Nancy Davis and married her (his second marriage after Jane Wyman). We read this:

She described their meeting by saying, “I don’t know if it was exactly love at first sight, but it was pretty close.”[71] They were engaged at Chasen’s restaurant in Los Angeles and were married on March 4, 1952, at the Little Brown Church in the Valley (North Hollywood, now Studio City) San Fernando Valley.[72] Actor William Holden served as best man at the ceremony. They had two children: Patti (b. 1952) and Ronald “Ron” (b. 1958).

Probably people, even those devoted to this president, don’t often think of his adultery, but if this information is correct, it does seem to be clear-cut.

Donald Trump

We know Mr. Trump from his days as the President of the United States (from 2017 until 2021). We may also be aware that Trump owned and operated the “Miss America” pageant and contest. But we may not often think of his adulterous lifestyle that has been documented again and again.  We find this regarding his first marriage:

In 1977, Trump married Czech model Ivana Zelníčková.[24] They have three children, Donald Jr. (born 1977), Ivanka (born 1981), and Eric (born 1984), and ten grandchildren.[25] Ivana became a naturalized United States citizen in 1988.[26] The couple divorced in 1992, following Trump’s affair with actress Marla Maples.[27] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump#Early_life

Without prying into more of Trump’s background and sexual dalliances, we only say that there have been many. Whether these have been only charges or whether there is reality here, we don’t know.

Then we find this comment:

Maples and Trump married in 1993[28] and had one daughter, Tiffany (born 1993).[29] They were divorced in 1999,[30] and Tiffany was raised by Marla in California.[31]  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump#Early_life)

There is no recorded cause of this divorce, but we assume that Trump also committed adultery again. Let’s keep in mind that Donald Trump had various sexual encounters during his lifetime.

We also read the following:

Trump married Slovenian model Melania Knauss.[32] They have one son, Barron (born 2006).[33] Melania gained U.S. citizenship in 2006.[34]

Of course, from what we learn above, Trump was also adulterous from the time of his first marriage, but surely there were other instances. It can be safely said that Trump was and is an adulterer. This supports our contention that adultery is rampant in political circles.

This is enough of the rampant evils that we find in the American presidency. Sadly, not all of the presidents were morally upright. Some were quite immoral. (We might remember the perversion of Bill Clinton in the White House itself!) And, regardless of the widespread acceptance of adultery in the United States (either within marriage or after a second or third marriage), those who have a more Biblical perspective are aware that adultery is utterly displeasing to God. In fact, God will judge adulterers (Hebrews 13:4) and no adulterer will inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

This shows how seriously God views this sin (and other sins too, we might add). Yet this is the caliber of people who occupy the White House in Washington, D.C. And, sadly, this is the kind of people that are typically found in the entertainment world and in other places of the nation. May God give us discretion and always seek the mind and will of God, including the sexual realm!

Let’s not forget that the only reason that these people are in the White House is because the American voter placed them there. Thus, any adultery in their life was accepted by the public of the United States! During the past decades, the moral climate of the United States has been getting lower and lower. Otherwise, why would the voters place a known adulterer or fornicator into this important position?

Likewise, as we mentioned before, about 1960 the voters placed a Catholic into the presidency—the first time that this happened. Further, two days ago, the voters placed a feminist into the vice-presidency! In time, she may become the first American woman to be the President of the United States. All of this is shameful! Yet it is the way this country is going!

For those of you who may live in another country who would not think of voting on an adulterer, a fornicator, a women (a feminist), and the like, we are sorry that we have needed to display this before you. But the way the world is going, we know that America is not alone with these liberal and immoral thoughts. May God help us!
