We know that there is a concerted effort to erase certain terms in this country (of the United States). We think that there may be 195 different nations around us and many of them are laughing at us now. We know that these countries surely have multiple expressions and they may be evil beyond measure.
For example, “abortion” means the killing or murder of babies. But do many people know this? Or do they acknowledge this? Or “suicide” is the deliberate killing of oneself. Children are considered a burden in society. It seems that terms that once meant one thing have been transformed and are no longer proper.
Even the government, with presidential support, would have us believe that killing babies is good and right. He thinks that killing babies is good and should be supported and done with government support! We refer to not only the president (Biden) but his assistant (Camila Harris). Think also of Donald Trump or Nikki Haley. We just finished listening to a high-ranking officer saying that the administration’s support of this mayhem is good and to be pursued. We wonder what is happening to this country and the world.
If such sins as abortion, suicide, and such things have been redefined and mean something different today than they meant in the past, What other sins are involved? What about sodomy? Or fornication? Or transgenderism? Or stealing? Or maybe lying? Or what about slander? Or maybe idle talking?
Then there would be impure thoughts? Or lust? Or wicked thoughts. Think also of wasting of time. Or speaking wrong thoughts and words. There would be hundreds or even thousands of other sins. We should repent of all of this, with God’s help. After all God is the One who has designed what is sinful and what is righteous. He tell us what is acceptable and what is not.
We refer to certain sins as sins and call certain evils but why is this? When we take in Scripture, we can learn what is right and what is wrong. We can determine what is pure and what is wicked. God defines His terms and we had better pay heed to what he has said! He is Judge and whether we like it or not, He will judge what is good and what is not good. (Genesis 18:25.)
Let us understand the Word of God and pay attention to it. We know that it will judge us in the Last Day (John 12:48), thus let us seek His will now, during this life.
