Reproductive Rights?
We wonder about what the vice-president is doing in promoting what she and certain other liberal proponents call “Reproductive Rights”! I don’t know if I understand the English language, at least the language and terminology that these ultra-liberal politicians and law-makers are using. Notice, we are using a term, “reproductive rights” and not “reproductive wrongs”!
The report came from the liberal vice-president Kamala Harris as she goes from state to state to promote her “pro-abortion” agenda. But the report uses terminology that I believe is either dishonest, misleading, or surely an outright lie (see Matthew 12:34-37; Revelation 21:8).
For example, in a standard dictionary under “right” we find that this English term first of all means, “lead straight, direct, rule” and we know that abortion (and homosexuality has proverbially been against being “straight”) is not correct. This sin is not “straight” in any way. Further, the dictionary says that “right” means “righteous” and “upright.” We think that all of our readers know that killing a baby is neither “righteous” nor “upright” in nature! Further, the next definition says that the term is “being used in accordance with what is just, good, or proper.” We all know (and we think even those who promote the killing of babies will admit) that this murder is not “just” or “good” or “proper.”
I don’t know how extensive this should be, but the next definition under “right” would be: “Qualities (as adherence to duty or obedience to lawful authority) that together constitute the ideal or moral propriety or merit moral approval.” We then find, “Something to which one has a just claim” etc. We could go on and on, but this secular dictionary seems to know nothing about the unrighteous claims of liberal statements. Maybe I am missing something but, regardless, we know that it cannot “rightfully” be applied to something that is evil, wicked, or immoral.
Thus, when liberal media encourages us to accept perversion and murder, we must wonder what they mean by their “rights.” If you were living in certain other nations, these would not at all be considered a political or moral “right”—to transgress the commands of God! We know that in certain more liberal places of the world (such as in Europe in other such places), this murder may be considered acceptable, but not in any country that admires what God considers right!
When liberal political figures, whether President Biden, or Vice-president Kamala Harris or other such politicians, say that they have a “right” to sin in various ways, who are they listening to and what are they saying? Who has given them this “right” to sin by murdering babies or committing sodomy and other such sins? Although it has been accepted now by millions now, we wonder how anyone can have a “right” to divorce their mates and marry someone else. Yes, God does give people the ability to sin but He has never given them a “right” to do this!
We thus encourage you to beware of using terms in a way that the language doesn’t accept or promote. Although we do find some illegitimately using “right” or “rights” in a wrong way, let us not be guilty of promoting this evil view.
