So killing children is absolutely necessary?

(Letter to the Editor)

Short Version:

So Killing Children is Absolutely Necessary?

According to Margaret Wurth of Human Rights Watch, America must make provision for the murder of babies, and if abortion is restricted (as in Georgia and Alabama), dire results will ensue.

Wurth says that banning abortion in other countries “doesn’t stop” abortion, “it just drives it underground.” People will necessarily illegally violate the law, thus we should remove restraint, allowing the legal killing of unborn babies!

Does this reasoning strike you as perverse? Does God know that problems happen? Does He change His laws to permit the killing of babies?

As the Giver of life, God alone has the right to take life. If women refuse fornication (thereby preventing unwanted pregnancy), abortions would be immediately unnecessary. If parents can be persuaded to cherish children, they won’t want to kill their offspring.

Please consider these truths before promoting the taking of human life—even the life of an innocent, defenseless baby!

Long Version:

So Killing Children is Absolutely Necessary?

According to Margaret Wurth of Human Rights Watch, it is necessary that America make provision for the murder of babies. This writer says that if abortion is banned or restricted (as in several states, such as Georgia and Alabama), dire results will ensue.

Wurth says that banning abortion in other countries of the world “doesn’t stop” abortion “from happening—it just drives it underground.” If I understand her reasoning, since people illegally will necessarily violate the law, we should take away restraint from such people and allow them to legally kill their unborn babies!

Yes, it is true that Wurth says that when women have illegal abortions, we sometimes see health risks and danger to the mother. She says, “Unplanned pregnancies will still happen, as they always do, and women will still need abortions.”

Does this reasoning strike you as wrong and even perverse? Does God—the Giver of life—know that problems sometime happen? Does He change His laws and permit doctors, nurses, mothers, and even fathers to kill babies?

Consider this: God is the Giver of life and He alone has the right to take life. In almost all cases, if a woman doesn’t become pregnant, she need not kill her baby—thus, if men and women refuse to commit fornication, most abortions can be immediately prevented. Further, if parents can be persuaded to love and cherish sons and daughters, they won’t want to kill their offspring.

Please consider these truths before you approve or promote the unlawful taking of human life—even the life of an innocent, defenseless baby!
