We know that there have been discussions during the past century or so that deal with the place and work of women in the church, in society, and in the world at large.

The question that we must deal with as we begin this article would be whether we will hold the Bible, the Word of God, as our authority and guide! Or whether we will hold society and the world as our Guide in life! This is the question. And as we proceed, we want to make it plain that we, the author, holds that God’s Word must be believed and obeyed in all circumstances and at all times.

We know that there are some who reject this and claim that all of the ways that God and life in general would accept and promote all sorts of different lifestyles and arrangements between the genders, but this we hold as being an abomination and opposed to the ways of God, as clearly spelled out in the Word of God. You will need to make your own conclusion on this but God has made it quite plain what His will is and what His truth is.

The view that God accepts and promotes all views as right and pleasing to Him would be called “egalitarianism.” On the other hand, we know that the opposite view, that God promotes only one view, with the husband and man as the “head” in marriage, in society, and in the world, would be called “complementarian” in perspective. It is clear, if we accept the Scriptures as our guide that we must accept the latter view as the perspective that the Bible teaches and exemplifies.

Sadly, we must say that half or perhaps more than half of people in America just don’t see what God has revealed. Yes, we know that the country was different 100 or 200 years ago, but we do wonder if this was representative of deeply-held convictions (based on the Bible) or whether these people were merely following the conventions of society. And even though a certain number of people would claim to follow Scripture regarding gender, we think that the world at large, especially Europe and certain other countries would be following the ways of the world and society.

Of the certain number that would claim to be following the ways of God, perhaps 50% (but maybe 20%?), we know that large numbers of them have no interest in God’s ways and His design of gender and for male leadership. They would rather follow the ways of society—even if this will result in hell or shall we bluntly say, the lake of fire! Yes, surely the majority have no interest in God’s truth and follow their own pathway to destruction—actually eternal destruction!

What are we saying here? If actually 50% (in America) do follow what God has said regarding the relationship of genders, we know that most of these people are not saved and will not go to “heaven” when they die. If you have followed our articles that present pluralism on this website, you will know that the great majority of these dear people do not follow the ways of God and His will. We are speaking of non-Christians, as well as professing Christians, here.

Thus, we are speaking of Orthodox, Catholics, Episcopalians, Methodists, Northern Baptists, Lutherans, Presbyterians, and others. In other words, most of those who do accept what God has said regarding the relationship of the sexes are wrong and will remain wrong. They will be eternally cast off by God regardless of what they are right on.

Now, as we come back to the title and the contents that we wish to pursue—the way God looks at women. No, we are not speaking of the transgender people, nor the sodomite people, nor the 60-70% of people who reject the Bible and the order that the Bible presents. We know that most of those (including most of the professing “Christians” in America and the world) simply do not believe in God or His Word and His order (1 Corinthians 14:40). They do not follow the truth and don’t really care about God’s will regarding gender and other like matters!

God makes it clear in His Word that a woman is on the same level as the man, thus there is equality. And we also know that some (perhaps most?) men really have no regard for the Biblical order. On the other hand (and we don’t need to be hard-hearted or an egalitarian, but a complementarian instead) we know that there are some (perhaps a few a precious few) who do follow Scripture. And we know that God says in His word that the man is the “head” of the wife and the “head” in marriage.

(And, we know that most American men as well as those around the world, simply refuse to honor marriage and the family.) The man is the “head” but a Biblical head and not a false and evil head! See especially such passages as Ephesians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 11:3; Colossians 3:18-19; 1 Peter 3:1-4; etc.

But we do know that a “few” people in America and the world do have such concerns and will stop at nothing to follow it! May God bless you and remember what Scripture says about you: “They will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy” (Revelation 3:4). Love and follow Jesus and the way that God and Scripture views gender, and sex, and the like. Only Jesus is worthy of our devotion!
