We have probably heard of “extinction” in the past. But what does this mean and is it true?

When a person or animal becomes “extinct” we know that this means that there is a cessation of life and for some reason the person or animal is no more. Unbelieving scientists may think that dinosaurs (for instance) became extinct for the sun was obscured for a certain length of lime. The Christian knows differently, of course, but we are merely conveying what unbelief might say.

As for dinosaurs, no, they didn’t die out because of a change of weather, collision of astronomic forces, or other such factors. But, of course, they died because God willed it so and this was in the recent past, not millions of years ago. They certainly did become extinct and there is no denying this fact. Or most of them did. The doe-do bird likewise. But the hundreds or thousands of animals that did perish. Some think that in the Congo and elsewhere there may be enclaves of dinosaurs but we are not sure.

According to what we have read, there have been many exterminations and not just the dinosaurs. Thus, we read:

We see the spikes in extinction rates marked as the five events:

End Ordovician (444 million years ago; mya)

Late Devonian (360 mya)

End Permian (250 mya)

End Triassic (200 mya) – many people mistake this as the event that killed off the dinosaurs. But in fact, they were killed off at the end of the Cretaceous period – the fifth of the “Big Five”.

End Cretaceous (65 mya) – the event that killed off the dinosaurs.

Finally, at the end of the timeline, we have the question of what will come. Perhaps we are headed for a sixth mass extinction. But we are currently far from that point.

This information, presented by unbelieving and perverted archaeologists, are obviously wrong and to be rejected. But it does help us, as believers, to see what we are “up against” or contending with these days.

Even many people also were among those who became extinct, like the Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons. Evolutionists say that they lived in caves and should be dated about 35,000 years ago until 8,000 years ago, B.C. Even from a Biblical chronology which would be true, we find that these early humans died out (or became extinct) relatively recently. According to Biblical chronology, the Noaic flood was about 2,650 or 2,750 years ago, but these humans did live in Europe many years ago and then became extinct.

Let’s commit ourselves to God and trust that He will do all things right, even when it comes to the species that died out. So let’s remember that God is always right and His truth is always accurate. Whether we are speaking of the demise of the Dinosaurs or any other living thing, we know that the Lord (who was there) knows what is the truth.

Archaeologists think that the first humans came to this area from Africa and the Levant. It is good to know that whether we are speaking about the early dinosaurs, early humans, or anything or one else, God knows what is true and He will always do what is true. If we are speaking of early man at the time of the flood or even back further, at the time of creation, God was there and we can look to early history with His help. His truth will be forever accurate and we can trust in Genesis or other forms of history, with His truth!
