As you know, as a Christian, we take no “sides” in the conflict (war) between Israel and Hamas. Although it definitely was begun by Hamas and the Muslims (because of their utterly disregard for human life), we know that this is not a single sided-war. No, there is a many-pronged conflict, even though 1,000 “militants” (terrorists) were involved. At this point, thousands have been killed on both sides and thousands injured. We find this (as a Christian) so sad. As we have stated in another article recently, we know that both the Jews and the Muslims are at fault and will suffer eternally in Hades (Luke 15) then in hell (after the judgment) (Revelation 14; 20, 21:8).
The war is presently escalating and we see no end in sight, apart from God’s personal intervention. We realize that there are several million Jews in a tiny land and there are nearly 2 billion Muslims in a land that is a hundred times as large. What can we say and what can we do?
Yet we know that both Jews and Muslims are at fault. (That is, if we were to cast “fault” at these nations.) Both, as we say, will spend eternity in Hell. That is, unless they repent of this wickedness. Right now the Muslim authorities have declared war and annihilation to Israel. Hundreds of thousands are marching—in Yemen, and elsewhere. Hopefully, we can include some photos here.
So, we know that one side is totally against Jesus and His way of life. He is Deity and this truth is something that the Jewish state would condemn. And the Muslims, following a blood-thirsty false teacher, while agreeing that there is one God (as they understand it, “Allah”), are also wrong and to be condemned. Regardless of the marching, the threatening, the yelling, the belligerence of the Muslims (and the Jews) there are massive wrongs on both sides.
We know that neither side believes in the Biblical doctrine of “non-resistance” and would want to pursue “peace” in the midst of war (Matthew 5:38-47; Romans 12:17-21). We know that there are children involved in this (on both sides) but, regretfully, these children, in a few years, will be adamant in their opposition to the “enemy.” We could wish that these children and babies were to die young, before they gain maturity, and perhaps they would go to be with God. But after this undetermined time, surely they will be sent to a place that is not good!
Now is the time for these participants in the war to repent and get right with God. Even if the Muslim militants or “terrorists” were to repent of the wickedness they have inflicted on the opposition, we know that they are guilty. And, of course, the Jews, because of their continued evil over the years, are guilty and merciless in their demeanor.
What shall be done? What can be done?
