Today as I read and perused another book, nearly every page was filled with lies. Although it was quite colorful and historical, the book repeatedly said that early “man” (and they don’t even think that this was a man!), was around for tens or thousands of years! We know (from God’s Word) that man has been around on earth for 4600 years or 4650 years (from the time of the famous Noaic flood) or even 6,000 at the time of creation.
How sad that this book, which must be read by multitudes of people, would make a mistake like this. More than this, this evolutionary expose claims that people in Europe, Asia, or Africa have been here for many, many years! We are speaking not of thousands of years but hundreds of thousands of years. We recall reading a report some years ago, comparing various groups in America. According to this presentation, life is in the balance and it is the deciding factor in all of this. Let’s consider ethnicity here.
I suppose that this makes black men (as they like to be called, or should we say, “African-Americans”?) less spiritual, go to “church” less, and are not nearly as “religious” as their white counterparts. There may be exceptions to this, of course, and it surely must not be thought of as an unbending rule that is true without exceptions. We don’t even know if it is true, but this is what I’ve read.
The book speaks of cave paintings and other paintings the authors assume (wrongfully) that proves that these cave dwellers were painting animals and even people at the time of their rough etchings or “paintings” that archaeologists find today. The authors say that this “proves” that they knew about mammoths, antelopes, and other such animals and thus “painted” them on the sides of caves and elsewhere. Even people from North America (coming later) employed such paintings, and this call came (according to the authors) relatively recently.
Not only do we find this scenario deplorable and the discussion wicked, it was downright faulty and misleading. Actually, the article is wicked beyond compare. If people were created only 6,000 years ago and the article says 200,000, something is wrong—and surely God is not wrong at all. And if the Bible says that people had knowledge and expertise in the beginning, this matter of people creating rudimentary pictures in various places a hundred thousand years ago, it all wrong.
Yes, we know that many (perhaps the majority) of people believe these lies and reject the Scriptures, but this doesn’t make this belief right at all. Although the book has many pictures and it is interest, we find much of the contents distasteful and wrong.
Hopefully, we all know that humans did not arise on earth hundreds of thousands of years ago and begin painting pictures on the sides of Caves. No, these people were specially created by God and He has a mission for them to perform. We do find that there are hundreds of different ethnicities and hundreds of different languages but still they come from the same stock and must be seen as the special creative work of God!
Presently, we are seeking to work out all of this, from a Scriptural standpoint. It is one thing to say that something is false and wrong, but it is another to say that such-and-such is right and to be accepted. We know that this scenario is wrong and sinful, but it is something else to say what is right. It is one thing to say that we know that humans have not been around for as long as they say, but what else?
Surely it is not right and is wrong to say that man is the result of long ages of development and evolution (as certain unbelieving scientists may speculate), and they surely are wrong in suggesting that creation happened began 13 billion years ago and then life on earth began 4 billion years ago in the World. It is doubly wrong and misleading to suggest that civilization began 10 or 20 or 30 thousand years ago, when God clearly says that the world and life began only thousands of years ago, and that this was high-developed at the beginning and then began to “devolve” (not develop).
According to this book (that I am now reading), based on evolutionary presuppositions, and very wrong in its conclusions, we know that life did change and did “get better” or “get worse” over time. Whether we speak of morality, spirituality, or technological progress, we do see change and it is very disappointing that this author refuses to see this but insists that things are getting better and better over the years. No, it is not getting better but (sadly) worse.
I was just reading more from the given book mentioned above, and it is really sad and evil. Where is God in all of this? Where is the truth? Where is God’s Word?
Whoever writes this and believes it can face God in judgment. And the results will be now and always. Come to Him today! Let this evolutionary presentation (that is also at the basis of much that is on TV, in books, in magazines, in schools, and elsewhere!) be put away and find life now in Him. He is the only way!
