Richard Hollerman
I just finished reading what is thought to be an unbiased examination of Catholicism. Further, we know that some of you have contacted me promoting a radical Catholic agenda. Let me comment briefly on this.
We wonder (but we already know the answers) whether these members of this religion are simply senseless or unwise. Stupidity generally would be ruled out, but not entirely so. So are they foolish—or what?
Next we ask whether these dear people simply don’t know the truth or refuse to acknowledge the truth. We can’t look into their hearts, but we doubt very much this, but (again) we really don’t know.
We also wonder whether these dear people are so wedded to a false religion that they simply can’t see the truth regardless of whether they are confronted with it or not. In other words, because of past indoctrination, training, or teaching, do they fail to see the truth when fronted with it?
Next, we know of people who are devoted to this false religion (Catholicism) regardless of the rank evil involved. Why is this? It surely is not so that they are twisted and evil people—for they appear to be kind and generous.
But we remember that though this religion, though having some 1.3 billion members, and Orthodoxy having about 300 million, (with many different sects and variations), comprise a religion that is difficult to break free from.
Just yesterday, I was read a multi-page article that purported to be an unbiased reporting of this religion, their history, organization, doctrines, and much more, but we were taken by the complexity of the background and beliefs of this false group.
In having read this and it being fresh in our mind, we do continue to wonder how anyone can believe and practice this false religion. Yes, it goes back for years (with many changes!) from perhaps the time of Constantine (AD 330) to Augustine (AD 430) but this would be no excuse for the depravity of this organization and their beliefs. We must also refer to the leadership of this religion, including Frances.
In fact, as we searched this matter out, during the last few years, we find John Paul 14 (whom many have now rejected), Benedict 16, Paul 6, John 23, Pius 12, Pius 11, Benedict 15, Pius 10, Leo 13, and others. We are aware of the liberal present leader called Frances. Of course, they all were ultra-false teachers whom God rejected and we should also.
That is, if we believe God’s Word on the matter!
