Richard Hollerman
Probably many of you (who are reading these words) are tied up and deceived by the “feministic” deception of today. In other words, far too many people are captivated and deceived by the massive amount of false teaching regarding feminism in our world and in our age.
In reality, we find that most of religion around us is part of the feminism of our day. Two hundred years ago, this may not have been the case, but we are living in a new world, with new terminology, and new nomenclature. People think differently and they act differently than they did in the past—before the feministic emphasis began in the past two hundred years.
We are now referring to religion. Most churches are part of the feministic view in our day. We are referring to the churches that you know, such as the Roman Catholic Church, the Presbyterian Church, the Methodist Church, the Lutheran Church, the United Church of Christ, the liberal (not conservative) Mennonite Church, and many more. They all have “bought” into the present-day “feminism” all around so that people seem to not know the difference between what Scripture teaches and exemplifies, and what modern society would have us believe. We find this so sad!
I left the Lutheran Church (which I thought was somewhat conservative but learned that it was ultra-liberal) and when I went back years later, I found a woman clergyman (sorry, clergywoman!) awaiting me! But this feminism is found not only in the liberal Lutheran Church, and the liberal Methodist Church (and this entered even in the days of Wesley), and the liberal Presbyterian Church, and other churches (such as the liberal Catholic Church, etc.), but we find feminism in other denominations as well. There would be the Pentecostal Church, the Oneness Church, the various “cults,” and others. The list could go on. Further, think of the other religions where this is found: Buddhism, Hinduism, and others.
So, although we may regret this and think that it is going too far, we find feminism in many different religions. By “feminism” we mean that females or women go beyond what is right and proper for their station. This is so far, so evil, so perverted, and we could go on and on.
Of course, we know that God knows best. After all, He is the One who has created us, thus He should know what His will is. If you know the Scriptures (and, regretfully, many don’t), remember such passages in the Bible as 1 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Timothy 2:12-15; and 1 Peter 3:1-7. Think also of 1 Corinthians 11:4-14; 14:33-37; 2 Timothy 1; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; and Titus 2:4-7.
With God’s Word as our background, we know that He has spoken to this and that we are to be judged by truth—not by our own views. He knows best and this has been the case since Genesis 1, 2, 3, and following.
Let us follow the ways of God and not modern Feminism!
