We are living in an unusual world. So much is going on and we are in wonderment how it will all end! Just today I learned of the earthquake in Afghanistan. I think that they counted 2,000 bodies thus far and I suppose that the total number of injured and killed may be not 2,000 but perhaps 10,000.

And keep in mind that these dear people were part of a false cult and immediately are in Hades and soon will be sent to Hell (Luke and Revelation 20, 21). We may weep over such carnage and such devastation, but do we think of the brutal fact that these people are now lost—forever?

I just finished watching something of the 3 day old war in Israel. Hundreds were killed on both sides. And many were taken “hostage” in the process. From what I saw and heard, the Muslim “terrorists” were able to do this by keeping “low tech” and keeping off cell phones. And so they came in with their trucks and motor cycles, killing people and taking hostages.

And the same is true of the “other side” in this conflict (which they now call a “war”). The carnage, the fires, the killing, the looting, the stealing, the blood-bath continues on and on. Even though the war has been going on for a while now, it continues and we don’t know when it will end. With Iran’s help, the Hamas terrorist organization will continue.

Now is the time to trust in God and depend on His superintending care. He knows what is best under the circumstances and will do what is good. Let us trust in Him. As Scripture says, we need to “trust in the LORD” and do His will completely at all times. (Psalm 3:6-7).
