Vladimir Putin and His Invasion

Most see the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, as a violent aggressor in the present war. He has led thousands of Russian soldiers (his military might) into the fray, intending to defeat his enemy (Ukraine) in order to increase the borders of Russia.

Thus, there have been buildings destroyed, soldiers killed, civilians murdered, including children, trucks and cars wiped out, infrastructure obliterated, planes and tanks ruined, and so much more! Yes, he may have a huge and luxurious yacht and lavish planes, pleasure houses, vacations resorts, and many other fineries—if we include his close friends (the oligarchs) but this will do no good. He may live for a year, or ten, or longer, but what is this compared to an eternity of utter anguish and outer darkness?

I was made to think of Asaph and his graphic psalm (73). He said, “They are not in trouble as other men, nor are they plagued like mankind” (v. 5). Eventually, this man of God could see the vanity of his life! See also Psalm 103 and 37. We must never envy such people for “their time is coming” and the splendid lives that they may live now will soon end!

Regardless of the reasons, we think that the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, is an evil man who has sent countless men and women to a godless eternity! Further, he also has sent tiny babies to God through his senseless onslaught of wickedness. We call upon true believers living in the Ukraine and Russia, to pray for Putin’s defeat.–and conversion. (We also need to pray for his repentance and also for his massive reparations (which must now amount into the trillions of American dollars, as well as Russian rubles). We really don’t know how this evil man can ever pay for or make reparation for this immoral invasion or recompense to all of those involved.

May God bless you and all of those hurt by this wicked dictator. We need to also pray for the salvation of both the Ukraine people and valiant president as well as the Russian people and leader. May God lead them to find true salvation through Christ and away from the massive false religion that they know.
