Dear Xi Jinping,

Greetings to you from America!

A few weeks ago I wrote in regard to the calamity that has enveloped the world since the Coronavirus was unleashed from Wuhan in your country of China. In that letter I urged you to do two things: First, I respectfully asked you to search your conscience about this pandemic that has affected billions of people. Second, I urged you to reimburse the tens of billions that this has cost the United States and the world.

I can see that this letter was woefully inadequate and it really underestimated the effects of the virus on the world. Let me explain.

At this point, there is still discussion around the world whether this was an intentional effort of China to kill as many people in the world as possible. Or whether it was a mistake in your laboratory at Wuhan and one thing led to another until it was too late to contain the spread. And thirdly, many are still blaming the “wet markets” there that produced this deadly virus. Personally, I don’t know the answer.

In my previous letter, I pointed out that officially China is atheistic. That is, the thought is that humans are merely developed animals that will soon die. In your case, perhaps you would contend that in a few short years, you will be no more. I pointed out that deep down, even the professing atheist knows that there is a God who created all things and that one day each person will stand before this Creator to give an account for his life and his sin (see Romans 1:18-32).

We must also remember that even the professing atheist knows in his conscience that he is responsible to God. This, of course, would mean that you—personally—will give an account for your life and it also means that inwardly you know that what you did in the world is serious and was wrong. (See Romans 2:12-16)

Xi Jinping, I know that you have seen so many statistics, but let me remind you.  Thus far, on April 30, 2020, at 9:14 AM, there have been some 3,244,595 reported cases of Coronavirus. Also, there have been some 229,182 deaths. In addition, there are some 1,998,994 active cases at present. (https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/?utm_campaign=homeAdUOA?Si

Further, present reports are that so far the cost of the virus worldwide would be $4.1 trillion! (https://time.com/5814933/coronavirus-pandemic-cost-4-trillion/.  To repeat, the cost of this globally could reach $4.1 trillion. (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-03/global-cost-of-coronavirus-could-reach-4-1-trillion-adb-says

Xi Jinping, this is no small matter. Of course, we don’t know what the result of all of this might be in the coming months. But for right now, we find this:

There are some 3,244,594 cases with 229,182 deaths. And the cost could be $4.1 trillion. Let’s suppose that in time, the cases could reach to 10 million and the cost could reach to $10 trillion. If the Chinese Communist Party wishes to show good faith and try to pay for all of this (although we know that one cannot pay for human cases and deaths), we might suggest that you make a public confession of your implication in this tragedy. Openly confess your and the Communist Party’s part in this disease. Further, do what you can to pay this $10 trillion dollars, spread out over the many countries affected by this virus (about 195 countries).

Now, we know that some 30 to 50 billion people were wiped out by the Chinese Communists from back as far as 1949 until the present. You may think that this weight is just too much. And we would agree that there is no way to “pay” for these human lives lost. And since most of these are now in eternal anguish (since they were not saved or forgiven by God through Christ), there surely would be no way to reimburse this amount. Who would it even be paid to? But at least, an open confession of this massive murder and the present disease outbreak and financial loss would be the way to begin repayment.

Again, I realize that officially the atheist doesn’t believe that he will exist more than a few years. But God says that you and I and all will continue to exist in either pain or bliss, either anguish or delight, for all eternity (see Matthew 25:46; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10). Thus, I urge you to admit your gross error and call on the Lord for His mercy.  Please read the Bible (e.g., Mark, John, Romans, Colossians) for God is merciful to save.

I remain open to correspondence. May God bless you!
