Open Letter to Xi Jinping,
OPEN LETTER
April 20, 2020
Dear Xi Jinping,
Hello to you from America!
I wrote to you on March 24, about a month ago. I hope that you are doing well.
At that time, I addressed the Coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan there in China. I hope that either you or one of your staff read and considered this—for it was very important.
You know that by now, tens of millions of people, in virtually all of the nations of the world, have been afflicted by this disease—the virus that everyone seems to be talking about. Additionally, many more (actually millions) have been stricken by the disease, without actually dying. It has used up trillions of dollars in over a hundred different countries.
When I wrote in March, I only brought up the animal “wet market” and the danger that it posed and the dreadful results of this pandemic. You, yourself, are quite aware of the danger of this market. At that time I suggested that you initiate a financial payment to all of the nations on the earth to help pay for this dreadful disease. Of course, this would not pay for all of the pain, anguish, and even death that it has brought to the world. But it would be the right thing to do, as you know.
Since that time, we both can see that my words and plea were somewhat shortsighted. As we both know (along with your comrades), since that time, governmental officials are saying that the epidemic actually began from the laboratory there and then there was a week or two “cover-up” that allowed the epidemic to get totally out of hand. Further, as you know, there were aspects of this disease that could have been stopped and people there and elsewhere could have been warned so that something could have been done to deal with the ramifications of this deadly disease while there was still time! Whether the “wet market” or the laboratory (or both means), as you know, China is responsible for a deadly disease.
Thus, at this time, I (and many others) would want to so stimulate your conscience so that you would be willing to pay much more to the nations of the world—perhaps twenty or thirty or forty trillion dollars to help defray the massive costs of the disease. Perhaps the total would be much more—perhaps a hundred or two trillion or more! I am not unmindful of the devastating effects this would have on the Chinese economy or of the shame that it would have before the nations of the world. Yet, as you know deep in your heart, this would be the right thing to do.
Finally, we know that the Communist Party in China claims to be atheistic in nature and this is what you promote in the national educational system. Yet, God does say that inwardly, you know that God is the Creator and that evolution and the resultant atheism is false. There really is a God (the true and living God) and He is the One before whom you and I and all others will one day give an account (see the Bible: Romans 1:18-21; Psalm 19:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:10). He gave the Lord Jesus to suffer on the cross to bear our sins and then God raised Him to new life (Romans 5:1-11; 1 Corinthians 15:1-22). He will come again and we will give an account to Him for all of our sins. In short, we are responsible before Him, regardless of how terrifying this may be!
May God help you to understand this. I know that you would not know English but some of your staff would know it and read this to you. May God bless you and help you to understand and submit to the truth found in this little letter.
